ishta yoga @ fairylandhouse life spirit sanctuary

In India when people meet and part they often say, 'Namaste' which Mahatma Gandh defined as:

"I honor the place within you where the entire Universe resides; I honor the place within you of love, of light, of truth, of peace; I honor the place within you, where, when you are in that place in you, and I am in that place in me, there is only one of us."

Yoga practice on a regular basis leads one towards this place, by raising our awareness of ourselves and others. Synchronising body and breath, taking our time to focus on our inner self with a minimum of distraction, and really feeling the sensations and results of personal endeavour.  Yoga is a wonderful grounding activity, with many dimensions and subtleties, which we can discover together as we go along.

instructor - zalan glen

Zalan has been gradually refining his instruction since completing an intensive ISHTA (Integrated Science of Hatha, Tantra and Ayerveda) teacher training program designed to assist individuals on their own yoga journey. Casual classes over the last few years has seen a focus arise for slower flowing forms, allowing an exploration of the subtle body. Developing presence through integration of the breath with asanas, is to practise self enquiry. By practising yoga together, we make available the opportunity to discover more of 'who we are.'
